This policy explains what Frontlot collects, how we use it, and who we share it with. It covers our marketing site at frontlot.ai, the demo and free-preview form on that site, business emails we send to car dealers, and customer information on websites we build and run for dealers.
Who we are
Frontlot builds and runs websites for independent car dealers. The website also describes a simpler version for other local businesses. You can reach us at the address below.

What this policy covers
This policy covers three kinds of information:
- Information from visitors and businesses that use frontlot.ai, including the demo and free-preview form.
- Business contact details we use when we email car dealers about Frontlot.
- Shopper information on a dealer website we host and run for that dealer. On those sites we handle the information for the dealer.
A shopper on a dealer's own website should also read that dealer's privacy notice. That notice tells them what the dealer does with their information. This policy tells them what Frontlot does with it.
Information we collect on this website
Information you send us
The demo and free-preview form asks for:
- Your name
- Your dealership or business name
- An email address, a phone number, or both
- How many locations you have
- Your current website address, which is required for a free preview and optional for a demo
- Anything you choose to write in the message box
- Whether you want a demo or a free preview
We use what you send to reply about a demo or a preview. If you ask for a free preview, you allow Frontlot to use the public listings and photos on the website address you give us, so we can build the preview. Previews are private and are not indexed by search engines.
When you submit the form, your browser sends it to FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which emails it to hello@frontlot.ai. We also keep a copy in our hosting logs so the request is not lost if the email fails. We may send the same request to an internal tool we use to follow up.
Information collected automatically
When you open frontlot.ai, our host (Vercel) may record technical details such as your IP address, browser type, and the page you requested. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, including which pages are opened and the general region a visit comes from. Google Analytics uses cookies. Those are described below.
Google Analytics 4 is the only third-party script on frontlot.ai. The demo and free-preview form is the only form. We do not run advertising pixels, chat widgets, or other tracking scripts on this marketing site.
How we use information
We use information from this website to:
- Reply to demo and preview requests, and build a private preview when you ask for one
- Operate, secure, and improve frontlot.ai
- See which pages people use, through Google Analytics 4
- Send business emails about Frontlot to car dealers, as described below
- Keep ordinary business records and meet legal duties
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies and analytics
frontlot.ai uses Google Analytics 4. Google Analytics sets cookies, including cookies whose names start with _ga, to tell one browser from another and to measure traffic over time. We use that measurement for our own site. We do not use it to advertise to you on other websites, and we do not sell the information.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser. The site still works if you do. Hosting logs are not cookies, and blocking cookies does not stop the host from logging a request.
Who we share information with
We share information from this website with companies that help us run it, and only so they can do that work:
- Vercel hosts frontlot.ai and stores hosting and application logs. Vercel's privacy policy is at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Google provides Google Analytics 4. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) receives the demo and preview form in your browser and emails it to us.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect Frontlot, our customers, or other people against fraud or abuse. We do not sell personal information, and we do not give it to data brokers.
Emails to car dealers
Frontlot sends business email from hello@frontlot.ai to car dealers about our websites and related services. Every one of those emails lets you opt out. You can reply and ask us to stop, or use the unsubscribe link in the email. After you opt out, we will not send that address more email about our services. We may still reply if you write to us yourself, for example about a demo or a preview you requested.
We keep opted-out addresses on an internal do-not-email list so the opt-out sticks.
Dealer websites we build and run
When a dealer hires Frontlot, we build and host their website and the tools included in their plan. Shopper information on that site is the dealer's. We handle it for the dealer, so the site can do the job the dealer hired us for. We do not sell it, and we do not use a dealer's customer list to advertise Frontlot.
What a dealer site collects depends on the plan and on what the dealer turns on. It can include:
- Name, email, phone, and a message, from chat and from finance, trade-in, test-drive, and availability forms
- A ZIP code and the choices a shopper makes during checkout, used to show an itemized price estimate
- Which vehicle the shopper asked about
- Inventory the dealer provides, such as vehicles, photos, prices, and store details
Leads are delivered to the dealer, including into the CRM the dealer already uses, in ADF/XML, the format those systems accept. Where AI website chat is turned on, it answers on the site, introduces itself as an AI assistant, and sends the lead to the dealer.
The AI phone and text tools are not live. They are in owner-only testing and are not answering customers. This policy will be updated if that changes.
A pre-qualification estimate on the site is not a credit check. If a dealer embeds a DealerCenter secure credit application, DealerCenter handles that application. The Frontlot website does not collect Social Security numbers. If a dealer turns on Capital One pre-qualification, Capital One handles that step under its own terms.
Dealer sites are hosted on Vercel. Inventory is reloaded from the dealer's feed. On a plan that includes ads, the dealer pays Google and Meta directly for ad spend, and our team runs the campaigns. Meta lead forms, when a dealer uses them, collect information inside Facebook or Instagram under Meta's terms, and those leads are delivered with the dealer's other leads.
Questions from a shopper about a specific dealer should go to that dealer. If you contact us about a dealer site, we will help the dealer respond, or we will point you to the dealer.
How long we keep information
We keep demo and preview requests for as long as we need them to respond, to build the preview, and to keep ordinary business records. Then we delete them or remove the details that identify you. Hosting logs and Google Analytics data are kept for the periods those tools use. Opt-out addresses stay on the do-not-email list.
On a dealer site, we keep shopper information for as long as the dealer needs it for the service. When the service ends, we delete it or return it to the dealer, except for copies we need for security, disputes, or the law.
California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you the rights below. You can use them for information Frontlot holds about you.
- Know and access. Ask us to tell you what personal information we collected about you, where we got it, why we have it, and who we shared it with, and ask for a copy.
- Delete. Ask us to delete personal information we collected from you. We will do that unless an exception applies, for example to finish something you asked us to do, or to keep a record the law requires.
- Correct. Ask us to fix personal information about you that is inaccurate.
- Opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and give you a way to opt out before we do it.
- Limit sensitive information. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer things about you. On frontlot.ai we do not ask for a Social Security number, a driver's license number, precise location, or similar sensitive details. Credit applications embedded from DealerCenter are handled by DealerCenter.
- No discrimination. We will not charge you a different price, refuse a service, or give you a worse level of service because you used these rights.
Email hello@frontlot.ai with the subject "California privacy request" and tell us which right you want to use. We will need enough detail to find you, and we may ask you to confirm the request is yours. An authorized agent may submit a request for you if you give them signed permission and we can verify you. We will reply within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you, within the limit the law allows.
We do not sell personal information of anyone, including anyone under 16.
For people who use frontlot.ai, the categories we collect are:
- Identifiers, such as name, email, phone, and business name
- Commercial information, such as a demo or preview request and the message you send with it
- Internet activity, such as pages viewed, through Google Analytics and hosting logs
- Professional information, such as your business name, location count, and website
We get these from you, from your browser, and from the service providers named above. We disclose them to those service providers for the purposes in this policy. We have not sold personal information, and we have not shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Children
frontlot.ai is a site for businesses. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child sent us personal information, email hello@frontlot.ai and we will delete it.
Security
We use ordinary safeguards for a small business: the site is hosted on Vercel, and the form only asks for what we need in order to reply. No website can promise that information will never be lost or accessed by someone it should not be. Please do not send Social Security numbers, payment card numbers, or other sensitive information through the demo form. We do not ask for them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. For a material change in how we use information you already gave us, we will also take any extra step the law requires.
